Hi everyone!
We just got back from a trip to Montana to attend Ed's funeral. What a wonderful and special privledge to be able to be there. The service was just beautiful and on our way to Drummond for the burial there was a solid mile of black and white cruisers with full lights behind us, and six patrol Harley's surrounding the herse. It was very neat. We surely will miss Ed, he was quite a remarkable person and was well loved by everyone who knew him. Cheryl, we know that you are still in for a hard road as you heal, but if you need anything, please know we're just a phone call away.
We had a rather busy week, Thursday I took Lizzie to be the "special guest" at Emily's preschool! We gave her a little bath, changed her clothes and talked about all the stuff in her diaper bag...and that's lots of stuff! Emily was so proud to have her little sister at her school. She was cute about it. Emily and I also ate lunch at Cam's school that day. He showed us how to get our trays...where the milk was... and how to "do" everything. Cute kid. I can't believe they're growing up so fast.
We went to the Pumpkin Walk, which is an old North Logan tradition, people make scenes composed mostly of pumpkins or gourds, this year the theme was music so there were scenes form Phantom of the Opera, Grease, Saturday Night Fever, High School Musical, etc. Anyway, we've been going for years with some friends of ours...we've known them since Justin was roommates with the guys. Now it's almost 12 years later and we've got 10 kids between us. Whew! That went fast. Anyway...it was fun to get together.
Saturday my lil butterbean turned 4 months old...so we decided to try some solid food! Well. It wasn't near as fun as I thought....this solid food stuff is MESSY!! Check out the pics, Lizzie was less than impressed! We'll have to try more a little later..hahahh!
Hope everyone is having a good week - Carmelle it was great to ride with you to Montana, and just have some time to chat. Jenette you'll have to post more, I love to read your blogs they make me laugh!
Here's a few pics - have a great day!
Love,
Amy

Amy,
I loved the pictures you posted! Lizzie looks so cute and her hair is great in the top picture. Your post inspired me to bake this weekend-- and by bake I mean buying those premade cookies that are already cut into squares and putting them on a cookie sheet :)
I will work on doing something exciting so I can have a good post soon. Everybody else in the family that hasn't posted yet needs to get going and put something on here. For now I wanted to post this cute picture of Emily I found from March when I came home to visit. She is a cutie!
Love you all-- J

Wow it's the first day of Fall. It sure feels like it too. The air is cooler and crisper and the light is different. We broke out the warm jammies for Lizzie and fired up the fireplace...wish we could "stoke" the fireplace, but we just flip a switch. This weather makes me want to bake and in the last week I've made apple pie (thanks to mom's marvelous apples...Whoopie!), wheat bread, ginger snaps (twice), banana bread, and chicken tortellini soup. YUM!!
For the first day of Fall we:
1. Put up the fall wreath (Mom's had hers up since like August 30th, she gets a lil more excited about winter than I do.... heh heh :)
2. Put up the little fall stichery thinger I made last year (oh it's still cute after spending a year in our garage....)
3. Dressed Lizzie like a hunter (or like a pumpkin, take your pick) in orange fleece from head to toe. She was less than impressed.
4. Lit the Pumpkin Spice candle......mmmmmmm.......
It was nice enough to ride, but Justin took the kids (Cam and Em) up to the farm to ride 4-wheelers, so me and Liz are just hangin out. Maybe it will stay nice and I can go for a lil put next weekend.HAPPY FALL!! wish i had a lil leaf picture to put here.....
YAY!! I'm so excited you guys think this is cool! Cheryl, so great to hear from you and Jenette, you should have left your former blog - I was trying to read it out loud to Justin the day you posted it and I couldn't because I was laughing so hard!! But that is a great picture of you guys.
Here's some pics - we went to see Justin and Carmelle (Jenette you'll think this is funny-Cameron kept calling Carmelle "Jenette"! I think we don't see either of you guys enough!!), so this is Carmelle holding Lizzie standing next to our new "family vehicle". Yep we broke down and bought a Yukon. It's not new (2001), but it only had 27K miles, so it drives like it is and we only had to pay about half of new price! We had a great time at Justin and Carmelle's house, the kids loved being out in the woods and it's so peaceful to just sit and listen to the stream right out the back door.
Then there's Justin holding Elizabeth on her blessing day (August 6th). What a couple of cuties! Then my sister had a baby three weeks after me and this is all my parents grandkids on the couch over labor day. Cameron is holding Lizzie and Emily is holding my sister's baby Maya. Maya was a month early, so even though she's only three weeks younger, Lizzie outweighs her by about 3 lbs! That's a lot when it's like a fourth of your body weight! :)
I'll send more pics and updates a lil later, I think I hear my lil bummie waking up from her nappie!
Love you all!
